I've got three small words....

It's Freaking SNOWING!!!!!!!

Just when things were getting better:

I got a job that pays decent and it's "close" to the house, but when it rains, it freaking pours. This happens to me every time I look for a job. I got a call today for a job that I applied to a few weeks ago. Now i'm stuck as to what to do. I sort of like the company i'm at now. It's very sciencey, laid back, and I pretty much mingle with the CEO every day. This new job is with a large company as a food service manager (aka head of the lunch ladies). It's not a bad job, and they think i'm at least qualified, and god knows that I interview really well. So now i'm stuck with: this job now is a 6 mo contract ( i have no idea if that means i'm locked up, but what could they do if I quit?), do I try and interview and hear what they have to offer? The perks are: I assume they would pay more, and it's really really close to home. The downside is that I like the people I work with now, I feel obligated because they have trained me, and think i'm doing a great job. I guess the only thing is to call and find out about the job and then have to weigh the options. UGH!!!

A great moment

A great and fun moment was bestowed upon me. We went to Target on Sunday and while wondering the video game isle, I stumbled upon PS3 that had a few demos, videos, etc... In playing it I had a great time driving a truck around and crashing things. It was a lot of fun, and there was no line for it, so yay for me playing it for a while. I really enjoyed it and look forward to going back to play it again, and possibly play the Wii if they have it.

Whoop there it is...

So A, Hi to Miss Alicia, who may be the only person still reading this. But whatever, I don't really care. I figure if you are interested enough in me, my lack of posting for months on end would not keep one away. So if someone else reads this then hi, and thanks for reading. I only know that Alicia is still reading.

On the news front, I got called by a head hunter last Friday, and scheduled me an interview for Friday afternoon. I started Monday. I now work in the nutraceutical field. It's close to food, but not really. My official job title is QC Chemist. 1, I did horrible in chemistry since high school, 2, I do more microbiology than chemistry and I also did horrible in that class too. But they seem to think I do decent work thus far, and they want to keep me for a while. It's about a 30 min drive to Mt. Angel. The town I believe has some serious German heritage because I work across from Bratwurst and sausage places and there is a building that looks very "German". Hopefully it will stop raining and I can get some pictures, it's actually quite neat.

Well that is all for now loyal reader.

Peace, love, and rain!

I must confess

I am a lifelong oatmeal lover, more specifically Quaker Maple and Brownsugar. I grew up on that and still eat it to this day. However, I find a new type that is freaking delicious. Bear Naked Triple Berry. It calls for 1/2 cup of water, which is too much in my opinion. It doesn't absorb the water like Quaker. But holy god is it good. I suggest you try it. I will still eat Quaker as i've been eating it for 20+ years.
Get off your computer, spend the $5 bucks, it's worth it.

So sad

So I just saw the weather report. Here in the Pacific Northwest it's supposed to rain at least until Thursday, and then it will start up again on Friday. Los Angeles is 93 degrees today. That makes me kind of sad.

It's Picture Time

Because I have nothing else to say. Still unemployed, bored out of my mind, wet, wet, wet. My current time passers are Madden 2007, Brodie (see pictures), TV, The Internet, and Job Searching.

This is Brodie at 2 mo old when we first had him.

This is Brodie at 3 mo.

This is Brodie before his haircut at 3 1/2 mo. He is wearing his Halloween costume from one of his granddoggy parents. The last picture is him with his haircut.

My wildest fantasy

Is to really do better in my Fantasy Leagues.

As far as Football goes:
League #1: I'm 0-5 going in to Monday night, but currently i'm up 166-106. So I think it may be my first win of the season.

That team is:
Matt Hasselbeck
Steve Smith
Reggie Brown
Lavaranues Coles
Larry Johnson
Tatum Bell
LJ Smith
Willie Parker
Plaxico Buress
Thomas Jones
Jeremy Shockey
Reggie Wayne
Braylon Edwards
Ronnie Brown
Neil Rackers

League #2
This league i'm 1-4 going in to tonight. I have Berrian going tonight, but my opponent has the Chicago defense, and Edge going tonight, so I might not win this one. I'm up 117.59-80.70. I really need another RB that is more productive. The remaining players are less than average players. So I think i'll hold out until/if Alexander comes back.

Matt Hasselbeck
Tatum Bell
Shaun Alexander
Kevin Barlow
TJ Houshmandzadeh
Antonio Bryant
Bernard Berrian
Marvin Harrison
Braylon Edwards
Issac Bruce
Tony Gonzalez
Nate Kaeding
Adam Vinatieri (whos getting dropped)

On to a the newest league, Basketball. I think Sean could chime in on this and give me a good perspective. I haven't followed B-Ball all that close. I feel like I have a pretty good team. Thoughts? Anyone I should get rid of ASAP.

A. Iverson
J. Johnson
L. James
T. Duncan
B. Diaw
A. Kirilenko
J. Kidd
G. Wallace
M. James
M. Peterson
A. Iguodala
A. Nocioni
C. Villanueva
A. Walker
N. Krstic

So, if anyone is still reading this and is checking for updates, i'm sorry. I realized that it has been over a month since any type of post/update. So I guess we will go with the very short point update. (I'll post pictures soonish)

1. Moved to Oregon. It's really nice here, much different than LA and in a good way.

2. We got a puppy. That is much like having a baby. He needs full attention almost all the time. Mostly so he doesn't do things he's not supposed to. However, I think Brodie is on the right track as far as being a puppy and he may even be ahead. Since I spend all day with him, he get's to be taught things when he's not sleeping, which is like 14 hours a day. Our biggest problem is how to get him to stop crying in his kennel when we leave the house. We have some ideas and are working on that. Once he get's that down, he can go to school with the wife. As far as potty training, he's pretty good. He has an accidents every week or so, but that's because we are bad parents and forget that he has to go out. But all puppy literature says that dogs can only hold their pee as many hours as they are old. My dog kicks ass then. He can hold it from 9pm until 7am.

3. I am still jobless and looking. I'm being very picky and not wanting to work graveyard shift, and avoiding communting as much as possible.

4. Our house is amazing. I still can't believe we have such a big nice house for less money than we payed in LA. It sucks that it's not "ours", but that's ok. It's someone elses head ache to fix problems.

5. The wife enjoys teaching the college kids, it's mostly freshman, but she likes it. Her school and classrooms are so nice. The rooms have iBooks in the them so the kids can use them during class and put them back. She has a brand new 20 inch, dual core Pentium iMac and that is just crazy.

6. I miss California. I miss the weather and my friends. It has already drizzled once here, but that wasn't too bad. The mornings are a crisp 60 degrees, but the afternoons can be up to 85. But at least it's clean.

7. I have changed my phone numbers. If you want the new ones, email me and let me know.

For some reason, I don't have much to write. I was doing ok with the writing almost everyday.

Anyway, here's an update:

Our stuff is being loaded on a truck next Thursday or Friday.

Friday afternoon we should be on our way to the Bay Area. So if any of you want to hang out let me know.

We should be there until either Monday or Tuesday.

We will drive to OR and start to set up the house, order furniture get all the necessary house hold belongings etc...

Day after we arrive... (see below)

Then our stuff should be there by the 18th and we can unload all the crap we just loaded.

(Below) We have an addition to our family. Now the running statement was that we were getting married really fast because we were having a baby. Now while funny, and amusing, not the truth. Meet one of the newest additions to our family once we get to Oregon.

There is no name yet, we are waiting to see what he looks like, but we think Brodie might be the winner.
